Roller Bottles

Roller bottles and are an awesome method for getting essential oils into your body and for keeping your favorite blends with you.   Typically they combine essential oils with carrier oils.  A carrier oil is a vegetable oil derived from the fatty portion of a plant, usually from the seeds, kernels or the nuts.  Carrier oils may be used to dilute essential oils prior to topical application. The term "carrier oil" is derived from their purpose, in carrying the essential oil onto the skin.

My favorite carrier oil to use for roller bottles is Fractionated Coconut oil (FCO).  FCO is the liquid portion of Coconut oil. It never returns to a solid state which makes it ideal for a roller bottle.  Also, it is believed to not have a shelf life or in other words, go rancid.  There are many articles on this on the internet.  However, the common thread seems to be that 5 years is the safety net for the shelf life for FCO.   This makes it a perfect oil of choice for a roller bottle.   It goes without saying, I only recommend Young Living Essential Oils for us with any of my recipes.
NOTE: Be sure to use colored glass for you roller bottles to prevent the breakdown and oxidization of your essential oils. For ideas on roller bottle sizes and colors, check out the suggestions on this page.

I have recently started to learn about the energy of crystals / gemstones. It is a fascinating subject! Just as essential oils have different actions in the body, the energy of crystals and gemstones work the same way. I have started adding small pieces to my roller bottles to enhance the energy of both of the God give resources. You might want to give it a try!

Universal Tip For Making Roller Bottles: When you are making your roller bottles, add your essential oils first. They should be added one at a time using the following process. After adding the oil, roll the bottle between the palms of your hands to mix the oils together. Repeat this process after each essential oil is added. Add the FCO at the end, repeating the rolling process. This ensures that oils are well mixed.
