I believe with my whole heart that the combination of traditional and holistic modalities combined with Morgan’s can-do attitude, resulted in a young man who can walk with canes and braces, is an accomplished skier and ski instructor and who easily puts in 7,000-10,000 steps per day. The lessons learned while caring for Morgan turned out to be priceless 14 years down the line when Conor broke his back in a freak accident and was paralyzed from the waist down. These same modalities combined with faith and prayer resulted in a full recovery for Conor.
Nursing has been my passion since graduating from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing (SFHSN) in Hartford, CT in 1979. SFHSN is where the concept of health being comprised of physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, was ingrained in my practice. One of my passions is to learn new things. I continued with my education over the years, obtaining my bachelor’s degree in nursing, then a master’s degree in nursing and finally a post-graduate certificate in Holistic Nursing from the University of CT and a certification as a Nurse Life Coach.
